Referral Fees
Just for limited time, and if you are the first marketplaces working with us. We offer a 8% commission fee for the first year, after the first year we review the total sales and get a new fee agreement.
Referral Fees for Contract Categories
Sellers pay a Referral Fee on each product sold on Purpledot shop Marketplace. The Referral Fee is calculated as a percentage of the gross sales proceeds from the sale of each product. The applicable Referral Fee is set based on the product type you choose during item setup. If an item has been set up in an incorrect category with a higher fee, but the product type aligns with a different Referral Fee, you will be charged the correct Referral Fee as provided in the table below.
What does this mean for me?
- Referral Fees will decrease for content that was ingested into an incorrect category (with a higher fee).
- Referral Fees will increase for content that was ingested into an incorrect category (with a lower fee).
Examples of these changes are outlined below:
- A TV monitor was incorrectly categorized as Home & Garden at a commission rate of 15%. This fee will decrease to 8%, which is the rate for the correct category, Consumer Electronics.
- A power drill was incorrectly categorized as Consumer Electronics at a commission rate of 8%. This fee will increase to 15%, which is the rate for the correct category, Tools & Home Improvements.
